I've been at the company for a few years and have seen it grow to be one of the few elite partners in the HubSpot ecosystem. Management has done a solid job in the last couple years in hiring rockstars to help scale the company. This is a highly dynamic and fun place to work.
I've worked at SmartBug for a few years and have seen it evolve as market needs changes, as we've grown bigger and as we've moved from offering standardized offers to truly customized solutions to meet our clients' needs.
I oversee the success of my clients. I use strategy, creativity and collaboration to bring their campaigns to life. SmartBug is a fantastic place to grow your career, have a good work/life balance and grow your professional network.
The commission we can make on upsells.
People's willingness to highlight other's accomplishments publicly.
The autonomy to help my clients' succeed.
Ability to make compensation based on upsells.
Transparency into where we are headed.
The people and backgrounds they bring.
Types of clients and challenges I get to work on.
Willingness to help out others and teach you to be a better teammember.
I like their willingness to try new things and solve for challenges as we grow.
How well we collaborate and pinch hit for each other when someone needs an extra hand.
Transparency, promoting and advancing our culture and always open to trying new programs/initiatives if it advances the organization.
Working with great clients, team members and I'm giving the autonomy to make impactful decisions without any micro-managing.
The autonomy to make decisions and work with innovative technology that our clients are largely happy with deploying.
Great energy, clear direction and always pushing us (in a good way) to innovate for our clients' benefit.
Smart and friendly. Given we are remote, we are able to get a lot of perspectives on issues.
Great discussions in Slack both work and non-work-related. Our yearly retreat is a huge benefit and additive to our culture.
Clear communication to the team about our goals for the year and our progress towards hitting them or not hitting them.
Flexible work schedule, remote work budget, budget for meeting up with coworkers (2x/month), unlimited book budget, and professional development budget opportunities.
Flexibility in building your schedule and lots of small private groups get together to discuss both work and non-work related interests.
Freedom to work from home, have a flexible schedule and for the most part, the ability to work with clients that align with our product offering.
Our ability to increase our compensation through upsells which comes through growing relationships with clients. Do good work and find new opportunities for clients and you get compensated fairly.
My coworkers are innovative and constantly looking for ways to improve processes to help our team members and clients. Team members are generous with lending an extra hand and jumping in to provide guidance on client or internal projects.
Helping clients see ROI on their investment and doing creative work. I would also say what makes me most happy is that I have a lot of autonomy in helping make my clients successful and loads of creative/smart colleagues to bring these ideas to life.
Given that we are a 100% remote company, we have great autonomy to shape our schedule and workday. We have to work a US-based timezone but if you need to take a few hours off to run an errand, pick up a kid from school or just take an occasional half-day, there is never an issue with that.
