My experience at Awardco has been very positive so far. The company is young and growing fast so the next few years will truly show what the company will actually be. I'm excited to be along for the ride.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The most positive thing is the way the people treat each other. I was immediately welcomed and also given substantial responsibility.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team believes in the people they hired, and at least for me, let's me do my work without any interference.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The people at Awardco are fantastic. Friendly, welcoming, and driven (but not to the point where its annoying or to the point of ridiculous expectations).
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Take this with a grain of salt as a lot of this is in flux right now. The incentive plans are currently being developed and a lot will be determined when that happens. The benefits are ok but I hope to see those get better as the company matures.
What makes you most happy at work?
Two main things: The first is the people I work with. The second is that while my work is really tedious right now, I'm in a position to fix and adjust everything about my work to improve it. I love being in a position to make my own job easier.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The interview process was casual, and I appreciated that those interviewing me looked deeper than most interviewers do. It wasn't about whether or not I'd done a bunch of very specific things in the past. It was about how I approached problems and if I was a decent person to work with.
