What do you like best about the leadership team?

The effort at transparency seems to be the standard. I'm sure there are things that aren't brought to light for company strategy reasons, but overall it seems like employees are kept in the loop. Sam seems to be very progressive and forward thinking, which is refreshing.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Although there are the obligatory/necessary technological safeguards in place, overall I don't get the "big brother is watching you" feeling. When there is an occasional snafu by management, it seems to be addressed quickly. The people hired seem to be screened very carefully and work well together.

What are some of the best things about your team?

My team is made of self-organizing, self-starting, determined people who are also reasonable, but scrappy when necessary. Nobody loses sight of the top-down picture, even when we are in the weeds - and egos generally are checked-in at the door. It's a very effective, engaging environment to work in.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

The unlimited time off policy. It's incredibly progressive (for the U.S. anyway), and IMHO makes employees feel like they are trusted - treats them as adults who are serious professionals who can balance PTO and workload without a leash. As well, the ability to work from home per arrangement.

What makes you most happy at work?

Access to pretty top-notch gear (i.e. a good machine with enough RAM) makes my job pleasant, as does fast action from IT when I need something. The overall hands-off approach and being "left alone" to work is nice, balanced with team interaction. Learning new things daily. Oh, and free LaCroix ;)
