I have been the GM at this company for over 10 years. It's part of who I am. I am looking for new challenges. The acquisition phase of DP taking over was very difficult for me.

I am most happy when I get to spend time with the animals, staff and mentoring.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
The integration process specifically switching to Gingr. Expanded recognition for wins and center staff acknowledgement. More clear path to corporate roles, current DP employees should be prioritized. More clear labor and revenue reporting. Understanding time zones.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is built for success! Our core leadership within the business are passionate about animals and their role within the company. We have open and honest conversations and debates to ensure we are highly efficient and effective.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We are an inclusive culture that places alot of emphasis on the passion for animals and great leadership. Each staff member has a clearly defined role and path to the next step for promotions. We love doing team activities and sharing our "off-time" as a group with cookouts, pool parties, bowling
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We call it "organized chaos". The only way to be highly effective, efficient, and stay motivated is to remain positive at all times. If anyone is feeling down or having a negative attitude then we immediately intervene and ask what's going on. We try to keep positive attitudes, music, breaks, snacks
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I have not had a pay raise since I started. I have increased my responsibilities within my region exponentially. I was sold on the prospect of potentially getting up to $20k/year in bonuses and then the bonus plan changed to rely on visits. My visit plan is wrong and unachievable, voiced many times.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Having been at DP for the last year, it feels like the vision or at least the plan to achieve goals has changed every 90 days. We spent countless hours training on things that are already obsolete and training programs have been canceled before completion. There is never a time I feel caught up.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
If it was relatable to the volume of work actually getting done and hours worked. As an Exempt, salaried employee there is no way to work overtime, however we are required to spend 50% of our scheduled work time in a functional role within the center. Average work week is 60+ hours, 7 days/wk
