I appreciated it was a phone interview with my leaders manager to help determine skills, then an in person interview with both. Sadly, that is no longer done and leader only interviews friends/family and hires them, regardless of skill level.
Communication, actually caring about staff vs the "bottom line" and remembering that staff are people too. Laughing at their problems, not helping when they are asking for help and they play favorites depending on the day theyre having and if they've hired their friends/family members.
Helping the patients, beinging a amile to their face, fixing or trying to fix issues they are having, being entrusted with their care. Making sure they understand their insurance plan and ensuring they know about fees ahead of time. Helping fix glitches in Epic, problem solving.
