Willingness to help others, people care about others more than next career move, team members always tot he right thing.
Pay for performance not perception. Individuals outperforming metrics from managers/leadership consistently should be compensated appropriately. IE Mid-year raise, additional monthly/quarterly bonus, incentive thank you additional earned day of vacation
The most positive culture/environment thing to me over the past few years UPRR/Loup has changed is our culture to be accepting of letting individual employees be themselves. Accepting employees for whom they are while also coaching employees with constructive feedback is the key.
Seeing a strategy, BD opportunity or enhancement all the way through from start to finish gives me the most individual satisfaction. This makes me feel like I am making a difference either improving my current role or helping a customer solve a transportation solution.
Loup's leadership team is the best group of people we have had leading our group in my 3+ years on the team. I feel comfortable sharing pro's/con's of individual job responsibilities and organization big picture suggestions as leadership listens, gives transparent feedback & own the follow ups.
