Terrible old school style management. Our store manager needs to retire, always blaming the team for his own shortcomings. The company won't spend money to fix obvious problems and prefers to slap a bandaid on it. All staff are underpaid taking into account similar jobs and their payrates.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communication, problem solving, listening to staff problems, TRAINING.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The company doesn't seem to care about staff. A competitive payrate, acknowledgement of individual work done (We're all just numbers), better management and evaluation of store managers that includes staff input (manager plays the higher ups like a fiddle, but all the staff know he needs to retire)
