It's been extremely challenging; in terms of quantity of work, expectations to step up & deliver and expectations in terms of deadlines and hours needed to meet them. On a wider note, the team I'm on is fantastic and there's a terrific team bond - it's been a rewarding experience, but unsustainable.
What makes you most happy at work?
Hitting goals and deadlines and collaborating with my team.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I like their passion for what they do, their charisma and knowledge when they present, their transparency and they portray a solid sense of collaboration behind their goals.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My coworkers are the best I've ever had - the team we have here is superb and they make it very easy to work together. They are extremely knowledgeable, they are professional, they are wonderful people and I truly value being on a team with them.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
My coworkers - as mentioned previously, they are incredible to work with and make this one of the best roles I've ever had. They are professional and competent, yet they are also great people on a personal level and make my role easier than it might otherwise have been.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
- The contractual hours are more than UK standard and the hours required to complete the work invariably exceed this. - The US culture of 'always working' means there is an expectation to always be available i.e. managers sending teams messages after 10pm - Strong performance not reflected in pay.
