The Fresh Market: we're not allowed overtime, you have to cut time at the end of the week to avoid getting it. Doctors notes are not accepted as an excused absence, even if you have Covid or explosive diarrhea you'll still be written up for it. Policies are written extremely vaguely.

Butternut Box: It's all smoke and mirrors. They act like they care but that really isn't the story. Management will lie and accuse you of wrong doings. Usually in the meeting room called "the doghouse" which in itself feels belittling in them situations. The gossiping is an issue here and it's very cliquey.

NWN: Of all the companies where I have ever worked, this one uses surveys more than any other. These surveys seem to serve two main purposes: employee engagement and customer satisfaction. It is gratifying to see this level of commitment from the company.
Concentrix: Before the merger, working at CNX fostered a strong sense of belonging and a positive experience. However, post-merger, these aspects have noticeably declined. The culture we pride ourselves on is not reflected in the new leadership and company values, leading to a misalignment in expectations

CarGurus: So far CarGurus has provided a nice environment to learn and grow. It has been nicely paced with a mix of learning via trainings and learning via doing the job. Managers are not tied down therefore it seems like they are always available to help when problems arise.

State Farm Insurance: I love my boss and the agency I work for. However the system is far and away the least efficient system I have ever worked with. Countless hours and frustration amongst clientele and agents is an everyday occurrence. State Farm loses millions of dollars and frustrated staff consistently due to this.
NWN: Friendly co-workers. Manager generally supportive but does not like approving PTO. No bonus based on performance. No raises or market salary adjustments. High expectations for low pay.
NWN: Experience has been good, still relatively new but happy to have made the decision to come to NWN.
NWN: Since the merger there is no longer a one team feeling. The company pushes hard to sell more and do more with less and less. People are let go and leave and are not replaced. The work just gets added to people who are already stressed out. Its always your not doing enough, here is more work for you.

NWN: Long term employee. Been through buy outs of other companies and being purchased by NWN. I am no longer phased by the pivoting changes that occur, but do see a cycle that makes me think past lessons are ignored. We were dropping barriers and silos, however, that seems to be reversing.
Dennys: We receive very good/excellent service from our waitress, Rosalind S. She is very attentive and always makes sure that our orders are hot and complete. Always remembers to return to the table to ensure all is well and always has a smile.
NWN: I struggle daily with the fractured way in which the company is structured, in making progress, and driving maturity. The responsibilities of my team are scattered across the business, making accountability and ownership difficult, creating a knowledge gap, allowing fires to keep burning.
