i started out of college many years ago. the first ~8 years included lots of small promotions and varied opportunities. since then promotion and expansion opportunities have dried up. it's still the better, safer option for me to stay but eventually i will be tempted to find more opportunities

generous time off caps (might not be the same anymore for new hires, not sure)
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
the 'grand vision' of an industry-transcending data model and platform hasn't taken hold over multiple iterations and attempts. there's something to be said for sticking with what we know, chasing the guaranteed $ rather than continually sticking necks out
