Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Equity portion of comp is negligible. Bonus was reduced even after a strong personal performance.

Salary not remotely comparable to local job market for same job title. Especially compared to other insurance/fintech modelling firms. Essentially no worthwhile benefits. Pension is messaged as 'a benefit' but in reality is the legal minimum (govt. regulation) offered.

Very competent, but not hyper competitive internally. Hard working, but not a more is better mentality.

Smart people, positive impactful mission, expectation of constructive feedback.

Goals and strategy are very clear. We all can then get aligned and operate as a team. This is good culture--alignment and a common goal.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The current business is commoditized and this will get worse. While the core business must be put back on track, there seems to be little or no work to expand beyond the current footprint. Expanding into new spaces is the only way the company will grow or even survive.
