I very much enjoy working for Sila. The employees are intelligent and passionate about improving battery technology, the facilities and capabilities continue to improve, and our mission is very clear. The two elements that leave room for improvement are Bay Area-competitive compensation and vacation

The leadership team is transparent about sharing company goals, information communicated to key stakeholders, and company strategy.

Working on technology that I am passionate about and solving problems that can help address the world's energy challenges.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Our team is collaborative, supportive, values each other's input, willing to help each other, and enjoyable to interact with at work and outside of work.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Sila is very intentional about hiring both strong technical and cultural contributors. Our company has employees with a diverse set of backgrounds and skillsets which helps problem solve in innovative ways.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
In almost any other part of the country, Sila's compensation would be extremely competitive. However, due to high cost of living in the Bay Area, there still exists a gap between Sila salaries and salaries at technology companies in the area. Sila hopefully continues to work on closing this gap.
