My experience has been positive. I've been able to move into more demanding and better paid work, have made some good friends, and have learned several skills that I never would have had the chance to learn otherwise. The pay could be better, but at least it's consistent.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone tries to help you as much as possible, no matter how big or small the problem is.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Transcription isn't a get-rich-quick job at all. However, even a couple of dollars increase in the pay rate would be really helpful.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They're willing to listen to what you have to say, no matter if you've been at the company 1 day or 10 years.
What makes you most happy at work?
Interacting with my team members and having the ability to learn about so many different subjects. Transcription can be about just any subject under the sun, and I learn something new each day.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The helpful attitude and friendly environment. There are so many of us, from different continents and countries, working on different projects and on different teams, and we all try to get along and help each other out as much as possible and be supportive of each other.
What did you like most about the interview process?
It's not really an interview process. You sign up on the website, then you download the study materials and take a test. If you can pass the test then you're accepted. I had to take the test twice since it is a lot of information to learn, but it was worth the time spent to pass it.
