What is the best part about your compensation package?
TM transcriptionist like me have no benefits. But what we do have is a fun, interesting way to earn some extra money and be a part of a supportive team. We work whenever we want with no penalty if we do not work every day. Freedom.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I wish there was an hourly base pay to go along with the audio hour pay rate. It would give more incentive to do more work and get more done faster.

I am an independent contractor, so I do not receive benefits. I receive pay in a timely manner for the work that I have done.

We all uplift one another, regardless if it's about transcription or just general life stuff. We help out by providing what research information we have so that others may be able to easily find it for the next batch of files, if needed.

We're all on a network and everyone is amazingly supportive. It's a team who helps each other out constantly with research and answering style questions. There's never been a sense of competition, always teamwork.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
They sometimes have games with prizes. They also have production bonuses. And weekly prizes for top performers. They have super nice people that are very helpful if you have a question or a problem.

The process was fairly simple. Testing and guidelines were required to demonstrate my skill set.
