Well I've been with the company almost a year now, and I genuinely enjoy my job. I've recently been promoted, and feel that I am respected, and valued highly at my location. Financially speaking; I feel as though I should be paid more fairly. However; I understand.
What makes you most happy at work?
Keeping the cafe clean, busy, and delivering quality goods/services to our customers.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Well I am part of the leadership team being a shift lead, and we do a great job at communicating issues, and resolve them quickly. Again; j really enjoy working with the company.
What did you like most about the interview process?
I really appreciate how I was treated. I was asked some questions, and asked a few myself. I never felt uneasy, or put off by my interviewer. I just felt calm, and welcomed.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We communicate with each other very well. Everyone feels heard, and isn't afraid to make suggestions. We all get a long very well, and I really enjoy spending time at work with my coworkers.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Well our boss at the location is extremely caring, and nice. You can tell she wants the best for her employees, but can't afford to raise our wages. I understand to an extent, but we work very hard to keep the place running. Other than that, it's just a wonderful environment to work in.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I believe with how hard myself, and other shift leads work that we should be paid more. We are currently only making $15 an hour in California. I believe $17, or $18 an hour is more than fair. We work extremely hard to make every customers experience memorable. We take care of the cafe, and run it.
