Never intended my summer job to last this long. I worked hard, and I feel like each time I was starting to think about leaving, a new opportunity opened up.

Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

I've been here for a very long time. At one point I thought about leaving, but - especially during the pandemic, when Vector truly looked out for their people, even if it cost more to do so - I've been glad to have stayed.

Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

I enjoy the work that I do. Sometimes it's a little boring and repetitive - but that's not unique to this company. I feel like my direct boss is responsive and appreciates what I do. I like the people and think what we do has value.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They try hard to live their stated values.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

The health care insurance by far!

What are some of the best things about your team?

Creative and supportive. They're all genuinely decent people.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

That people really do care about each other

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

They honestly want you to have a life outside of work.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They respect the people around them and are always trying to improve.

What makes you most happy at work?

When a project comes together and has an impact (and people notice)

What are some of the best things about your team?

Everyone really respects each other and there's a really robust exchange of ideas.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Desire to improve - both personally and professionally. But in a realistic way.

What makes you most happy at work?

New challenges and opportunities for growth. Appreciate the strong support for professional development.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They care about their employees as people, not just as cogs in the corporate wheel.

What makes you most happy at work?

New projects, creating something that adds value, finding ideas or cause/effects that may have been overlooked.

What are some of the best things about your team?

My peers are supportive and respond really well when I reach out for help or collaboration. They're also really nice.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Everyone is treated with respect by everyone else. There's a sense of camaraderie and genuinely being on the same team.

What are some of the best things about your team?

We all know each other pretty well, and everyone in kind, respectful, and supportive. It's a team that's legitimately a team.

What makes you most happy at work?

When I have a well defined project that's a little challenging and whose successful completion will have an impact on our company.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They're very supportive. My personal life doesn't have to be sacrificed for me to do well. My boss cares about me as a person.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They're good people. They've demonstrated that when they say that they care about their employees, they really mean it by putting their money where their mouth is.

What makes you most happy at work?

Interested with my peers. The conversations about where the company is, what we can do to improve it, and then actually being able to do those things!

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

There's a general believe in the importance of self improvement and healthy behaviors. People, I think, really do try to be the best versions of themselves at work.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Once you reach a certain point, it's hard to have your compensation match what it would be elsewhere. I choose to stay for lots of reasons, but pay isn't one of them.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

You get the sense that people really care about how everyone else is doing. An employee's family life is allowed to be important and it's understood that we work to live rather than live to work.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Vector is a great company, but pay is not really a selling point. If I decided to leave, I'd definitely be paid more elsewhere. Fortunately, I like my boss and the people I work with, and the other benefits are good enough that I'm not looking.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Vector isn't big on raises. I could definitely make more doing what I do somewhere else. I really like my boss, I feel good about our company, and our health insurance is excellent, so that usually makes up for it. But sometimes it would be nice to match what other companies are paying.
