3M Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

401k matching rate for 3% contribution.

The benefits and basic salary

Review from Marketing Dept

Pay based on contribution and bonus is good

The compensation is more than fair.

I get paid on time

Review from Operations Dept

That I get to earn it each and every day

401k match is respectable (but certainly not impressive)

I work for what I do

health insurance, dental insurance bonus

Fair policies and market based conpensation

Vacation is good you need it to cope.

Base salary and company store

The vacation time though now its considered average

Great insurance and 401k plan

Health insurance is affordable, dental is excellent and depending on coverage elected provides orthodontics which is rare these days.

Good salary and long term incentive plans

Variable compensation tied to realistic targets.

For supply chain team, bonus packages are quite fixed

401k rate is very good

Review from Product Dept

Shares , bonus, monthly salary. Company benefits

Review from Operations Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I need to be better compensated to deal with C suite shenanigans

The benefits are average as we were told by a senior vice president. The pay itself isn't terrible but it doesn't make up for the dehumanization and terrible decision making being made.

I feel undervalued because my manager never really had a plan for me. I wanted to discuss goals with him but he never set any expectations for me because he never had a plan for me to begin with.

Comparative companies offer more compensation

They don't offer long term employees competitive wages.

Technical talent is being outsource to the lowest salary they can get. No opportunity to retain talent and the experience that comes with it. Managers often have no idea about what they manage with no direction.

Pay is much lower than competition and benefits are average

While the CEO and ithers leaders get high raises, the xommon employes get next to nothing

The employee is not a cost, they are a growth engine.

Not paid fairly for having a college degree.

3M does not promote & mid level managers can't do anything.

Bonus, due to Covid they reduce number of employees, work has been spred but not benefits as well.

Roll back of employee benefits, the company continues to make profits yet the employees continue to get less

We used to have better insurance...and I think raises based on performance helped to boost productivity.

Compensation was known to be unequal for females in the same roles as males.

Review from Executive Dept

Parity with make counterparts who get paid more

Review from Marketing Dept

They like to make claims that they're decreasing benefits to be in line with industry average, leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Review from Engineering Dept

for my salary to be more competitive with the market

Options are held back to the people drive the business on a daily business with the executive conference taken more of the options and higher pay on balance. Lots of second guessing which slows us down and we spend way too much time on internal presentations to each other v customer execution.

They need to bring back incentives and pensions to there employees that work so hard for them. Maybe take away their big corporate bonuses, or give bonuses to the factory workers.
