Mr. Darren Hakeman has been Senior Vice President of Strategy, Analytics & Corporate Development at 8x8, Inc. since September 13, 2017 and served as its Senior Vice President of Product & Strategy since September 9, 2013 until September 13, 2017. Mr. Hakeman has overall responsibility for supporting customers and partners worldwide in the deployment and sustainment of Savi's RFID-based solutions and heads consulting and professional services, technical support and publications, customer support and training functions involving both commercial and Public Sector customers. He is an accomplished senior executive skilled at formulating and executing strategies for market entry and growth across diverse technologies and products. Mr. Hakeman has 20 years of management and operational experience and defining and overseeing disciplines including corporate strategy, product management, marketing, engineering, professional services and support and international business development. Since 2009, he has worked as a strategic advisor to leading Silicon Valley companies and emerging start-ups including Authentication Metrics, Inc. (now Agari), where he developed global market entry and monetization strategies for multiple technologies and business units and led the launch of an Asia-based technology incubator. He served as Senior Vice President of Operations for a SaaS Business Unit of Lockheed Martin that emerged following Lockheed's acquisition of Savi Technology, Inc. He is credited with streamlining technical service processes that more efficiently and effectively serve customers and establishing Solution, Knowledge and around-the-clock Customer Support centers. He was also instrumental in the development of Savi's unique, dual-frequency EchoPoint??? technology platform and its initial flagship product - the active RFID, data-rich ST-410 SaviTag. Since joining Savi Technology in 1993, Mr. Hakeman has held a succession of increasing responsibility engineering, management and executive positions. From 1993 to 2006, he served in various capacities at Savi Technology, from Senior Director of Product Management, Marketing and Product Strategy to Senior Vice President of Global Services. Mr. Hakeman earned both BSEE and MSEE degrees from Stanford University.
