BJ's Wholesale Club Interviews Employee Reviews

What did you like most about the interview process?

The interview was laid back and the manager was friendly.

Hr was amazing while she was there. Something happened two months back and she walked out along with my department manager and a few others

Review from Sales Dept

It felt very personable and seemed genuine.

Review from Sales Dept

Over the phone quick and easy

Review from Sales Dept

It was fairly quick, much more like s conversation and when i was finished i knew i either had the job or didn't.

personability and actual knowledge of experiences needed

No face to face. Hired in ability and knowledge.

The managers try to get a feel for every individual and try to match that individual to a job title that would best suit that person's skills, interests, and the companies needs. Mentioning our benefits within the club and how it would have a positive impact on us and our families.

That the manager that hired me treated me with respect and didn't lie to me

When I first got interviewed for the company they did give me an opportunity to express my self and I felt very comfortable

It was simple and quick

When I was hired. The Club Coordinator during that time was very friendly and helpful.

Review from Operations Dept

I was interviewed by a recruiter, it was very very misleading it was clear there was some discrepancy between the recruiter and the company and also some miscommunication. The job was talked up alot and after orientation and actually started officially working I was highly disappointed!

The fact that I was treated with respect

Quick and easy, I was interviewed over the phone.

It was all over zoom or phone

The speed in which the company screens people

Quick & easy. Got started working within days of interview. Didn't need a resume of the last 10 years of work.

Review from Operations Dept

The HR was very professional and very helpful

Friendly interviewer and the process wasn't daunting.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

You gotta go faster - incredibly slow and almost nonchalant

Be one on one more. Person to person.

HR is the front face of the company. The interview process should be pleasant and friendly and not be something the interviewer hates to do. The writing was on the wall on how hostile this work environment was going to be.

Dontbtell people the job is a ful time position and then let them justbfind out they part time

tell the truth about sign on bonuses

have people who care and explain things to you this is first step of how poorly you will be treated

Take more time to explain your role in the company

Review from Sales Dept

Drug test need to be enforced

Review from Operations Dept

Have someone professional do interviews instead of unhappy managers

Make it quicker and the interview more specific for the position

Review from Sales Dept

Higher quality people and people with experience
