BJ's Wholesale Club Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

My coworkers make it more tolerable

My team has my back

Review from Operations Dept

Sometimes it is chill while others its working like a mule

Review from Sales Dept

The people i work with.

Review from Sales Dept

we all try to cover each others needs while at work

Customer service drives everything about what we do

Nothing is positive or helpful except coworkers.

We get along well and communicate

When I go home every thing else is horrible

We are expected to work 8 hours and not more.

Regular breaks, hard work and productivity is appreciated by very few managers thankfully, most people try to serve our customers to the very best of their ability! One lower level manager at my location is hard working, understanding of every colleague under her management, and helpful.

The non-management employees have a great work place relationship. The customers and my coworkers are the only reason I'm still there.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Everyone is friendly to each other.

The willingness to help one another and make each other smile

Most employees are respectful to each other. Most employees understand each other's hardships at work. Most employees "get it". Our supervisors are great, just spread way way too thin!

Review from Operations Dept

Coming to work and maybe make a difference also being around the other employees.

Review from Customer Success Dept

Working with our members and making them happy

Co-workers are pleasant to work with. During the Summer the temperature is too hot. The air conditioner is inadequate at the Danvers location.

Review from Operations Dept

carefree, everyone does their work good

Review from Sales Dept

It's a paycheck. Can't find anything else positive about working at BJs.,

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Aware that every part of business role is as imporrant as the one prior. Each step holds an important rolein a succesfully run company

Understanding being a team and have more understanding

Review from Sales Dept

Trust those you hire to make decisions on their own. If you dont trust them to do just that the hiring pricessbis broken. Get a better hiring process, train them well on each task and the same. Dont just leave them in the weeds. Give them the proper tools they need to be successful, good floor mats

I believe a better way to communicate with employees and being more appreciative towards people that do alot.

Review from Product Dept

Training on the front end. Customer service attitude is the worst ive ever seen. PIC/Lead... useless. Taught down the line and getting worse evwry new hire. .

Treating everyone with respect and having management team that works not give orders and talk down to team members

The gm needs to have realistic expectations especially when you onky have sormtines 3 people working overnight.

Stop changing or adding more strict rulings and nonsensical policies, go back to what it was a year ago even when Covid was hitting us hard, it was fair but not too degrading or strick.

was 8+ not 12, but others were working 12+ and unjustly fired, management needs to stop wearing their colons for hats

Always told to push, but I like neatness.

Communication and organization, this would improve everything.

Start completly over with the company.

Giving some kind of recognition for good work. They literally had a contest with prizes for people who show up yo work on time for a month. Shouldnt thid be common sense? Its like kindergarten.

Train management better, leaders need to come out of their rocks and teach the company whats needed. Have more inclusive events for Team Members. Stop boring employees with minor events such as pizza or ice cream. Be inventive. Start a new trend, listen to your working staff, they do it everyday.

The ones at Home Office making changes and decisions need to actually work in the store to see how their great ideas work or completely fail. They need to be part of the team, not the wizard behind the curtain. They need to see their skeleton crew is quitting and falling apart on many levels.

Review from Operations Dept

More respect for the employees

Review from Sales Dept

Management to pull their act together, HR to stop messing up the schedules, better pay raise to those whom put the effort in.

Review from Operations Dept

We need corporate H.R. to come in and get us a new GM to start. There is no morale at the job. Nobody cares any more.

Review from Product Dept

Nothing will help my failing company. It will help if they go out of business

Review from Operations Dept

Too much favoritism. Also appreciate your hard workers and give them credit when due
