ethnically diverse, but zero diversity when it comes to 'political beliefs' - estaff and down are all very anti-trump and make it publicly known, virtually no conservative views at the company. if you champion yourself as a company based on diversity, then you must also be inclusive to views that differ from your own...
Very diverse - all ethnicities, backgrounds, sexual orientations, etc
Great diversity but can also do better job. Diversity is mostly at lower levels but peters out as you go higher.

What do you wish you knew before starting at Airbnb?
We like to promote ourselves as having lots of internal mobility but this is not the case for all teams. Many teams have very limited mobility. Also, management is promoted from within and can often be a major problem with little managerial experience.

In the policy department, we work long hours, including many weeknight community meetings, and are required to work many weekends.
Those that work in remote offices dont get the same perks as those in the SF office.

Extensive and many. Prepare for many meetings with folks who may ask the same questions. We also have core values interviews that are not about your specific function but the culture of the company and of you are a fit. The person interviewing you will likely not even be in the same department and is more about Airbnb values and you.
