Acquia Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

everything was fixed and good insurance

All of it and more

Paid 100% bonus last year.

Regular reviews and open discussions about how to get ahead make me feel like the company is focused on helping me advance. I have received raises more than once a year although I am not sure that is common.

Pretty good base and great bonus

Review from Sales Dept

Flexible benefits, decent bonus and good base.

Review from HR Dept

The flexibility to suit my needs

Review from Operations Dept

100% paid medical and unlimited PTO. People are able to take the time they need and it's never scrutinized

Review from Marketing Dept

Overall the package is well balanced; no gaping holes or misses.

I get paid at the high end of the range. Stock options could be very valuable.

Review from Product Dept

I made well above the national average for an entry level job.

Great insurance coverage and awesome unlimited time off benefits.

Review from Sales Dept

I like the flexible time off.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Fair comp plans for the industry, easy to use tools to check your comp

Review from Sales Dept

We pay competitively to market.

Review from HR Dept

There's a take it when you need it policy for vacation and sick time and people do actually use it and management is pretty great about it. Work life balance is great too.

Review from Engineering Dept

Ability to overachieve variable compensation.

Review from Sales Dept

That it is in my hands how I perform and the compensation associated with it

Review from Sales Dept

Acquia seems to place importance on fair compensation. Equity is standard.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Competitive, Fair, straight-forward and equitable

Review from HR Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Being hired to do a job for your expertise and then told exactly what to do isn't fulfilling and breaks trust. Don't treat people like "the help" even though you are paying them.

Stocks options should be also part of compensation

Promotions and raises have been notoriously hard to come by and I've been fighting for both for years. Joined the company with a quarterly bonus expectation which was removed. No 401(k) match

I know for a fact I am underpaid by 50%-70% (depending on the person) compared to male colleagues in similar roles. It's rampant and wrong. If it's such a great place for women, I am not a part of that movement and neither is any other woman I know in this company -- many anecdotes supporting this.

Review from Product Dept

Other forms of recognition: promotions

Review from Product Dept

The company still does not offer 401k matching, which is understandable given that we're still a startup. However non-Sales employees are still routinely underpaid for their talent and impact on the business, and it's a struggle to catch up. HR would rather hire a new person than approve a raise.

Review from Product Dept

401k Match would be ideal.

Review from Customer Support Dept

We're on Cigna, which is a fairly stingy insurance company without great coverage for the specific things my family needs. Additionally, there's an odd setup with a Health Reimbursement Account. both of these feel like cost-cutting choices, rather than picking the best option for employees.

Review from Product Dept

I know that several male coworkers who do the same job as me make more than I do

Review from Marketing Dept

Salaries are below industry standards. No matching 401k.

Review from Engineering Dept

Acquia does not provide any 401k matching, which translates into significantly lower compensation. While Acquia offers competitive entry salaries, it’s difficult to earn more than a 5% annual merit increase even with promotions. Otherwise, healthcare, leave, sto

Review from Product Dept

Companies in the area pay more, and have better benefits

Review from Sales Dept

Pay is fair (average for the market), stock options are fair, benefits are good except there is no matching 401k.

Review from IT Dept

My only real complaint about benefits is the lack of 401k matching. Having been at Acquia a while, I can see the impact in my retirement savings.

Review from Engineering Dept

Wish there was tuition reimbursement for any type of career development or 401k match. Or more activities/community feel within the org.
