The leadership team seems decently friendly.

Acquia has the strongest executive team of any company that I've worked at. All of the execs are experts in their area, they work well and closely as a team and are transparent and communicate with the entire company and ensure alignment on the key objectives of the company.

Paid 100% bonus last year.

Regular reviews and open discussions about how to get ahead make me feel like the company is focused on helping me advance. I have received raises more than once a year although I am not sure that is common.

Being hired to do a job for your expertise and then told exactly what to do isn't fulfilling and breaks trust. Don't treat people like "the help" even though you are paying them.

Stocks options should be also part of compensation

Promotions and raises have been notoriously hard to come by and I've been fighting for both for years. Joined the company with a quarterly bonus expectation which was removed. No 401(k) match

I know for a fact I am underpaid by 50%-70% (depending on the person) compared to male colleagues in similar roles. It's rampant and wrong. If it's such a great place for women, I am not a part of that movement and neither is any other woman I know in this company -- many anecdotes supporting this.

What are some of the best things about your team?

The "hands-on" people try very hard despite the leadership, which helps them get through the day.

In general we all see the same things so there is sanity in shared suffering.

Being remote is great and there is no requirement to have your camera on during meetings.

We live our shared values every day, which drive teamwork, collaboration, accountability and trust.

Pay people fairly. Hold everyone accountable. Hire the people in the right places and in the right times. Think long and hard before laying people off, as you might need those people in the next quarter.

Eliminate standardized testing and restrictive policies that discourage diversity.

They take forever to schedule interviews, don't coordinate well, and are not good at following up with referrals.

It *has* improved. The past culture was focused on waaaaay over-interviewing. We now do three rounds, and that seems much better.

Management doesn't know ground reality. They don't talk directly with people doing actual work.

Better product leadership. More focus on customer innovation, less on maintaining legacy code and "old ways". More support of women in tech.
