Mr. Carlos Pone has been Chief Executive of Africa at AECOM since August, 2015. Mr. Pone served as the Chief Executive Officer of Abb South Africa (pty) Ltd. Mr. Pone is responsible for leading AECOM's business across the African continent and his appointment is a key part of the company's growth strategy in the region. He joined AECOM from ABB, where he has held a number of positions, including Chief Executive Officer for Southern Africa and Regional Manager for Sub-Sahara Africa. Originally from Mozambique, he is ABB's country managing director in the United Arab Emirates. He has extensive experience working in the Middle East and Africa to AECOM.
