  • Lots of overtime due to employee shortages

  • Poor. Strong emphasis on 100% billability, along with an uncertain backlog means there is no reserve capacity for work when it comes in and no appetite for hiring. This means most people are always working overtime.

  • depends on your office and your boss

  • If he knew what engineering was it would be bonus. Look at the share price it’s like a slow yo-yo. When IPO went ahead $40 was expected in 10 years. The hierarchy are on very good renumeration , but what are they doing. Moral is down, the IT infrastructure required for the job is a joke. The outsourcing of everything only brings despondency.

  • Doesn’t know the little people

  • An accountant as CEO of an engineering company results in everything coming down to the bottom line. There's no regard for how engineering work is done. If everyone is billable, good. That's how it feels.

  • Fire upper management from assistant supevisor on down in my 12+ years in avaition I've never seen such arrogant incompetence

  • Start investing in each employee instead of wasting the money on other things

  • survival of the fittest...let everyone know there will be cuts and pit everyone against each other in an interview process with those that survive getting new titles and no raises.

  • By using a Magic 8 Ball. Not really sure, there is no set requirements for promotions or set career paths.

  • I have no idea. No one in my office has gotten any kind of promotion or raise in the past two years. It seems like the only way to get a title change/raise is to obtain your architectural license.

  • once a year at a review in which everyone needs to fit in a bell curve. This means you will automatically get moved to the middle and have good and bad things said about you by design

  • Minimal and lacking

  • It is a once a year formal review process. Outside of that, if you want feedback about your work, in my experience you have to specifically ask your manager for it, and prepare for them to be annoyed.

  • Those that can work 70+ hours a week succeed at AECOM. Those that will toss the rest of their life to make others look better

  • People who play politics.

  • In my experience, the people who succeed are the people who are in the right crowd. Management do not make an effort AT ALL to have a relationship with their employees outside of the yearly appraisal.

  • Either an improved work-life balance or the ability to sell earned paid time off back to the company. I’ve reached the maximum accrual for time off and each pay period I lose almost 8 hours of PTO. At the average rate of $102/hr, that’s over $800 every two weeks.

  • The working week was increased from 37.5 hrs to 40 a few years back with no financial recognition. This was whilst other departments who had been ‘purchased’ continued to 37.5 hrs.

  • Maybe hold management responsible ? Na! Keep on earning a D - rating ! Y'all earned it....
