She received the Ambassador award for her volunteer work with the American Stroke Association and was given a special recognition award by the Greater Los Angeles African-American Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Flowers earned a Bachelor's of Art from UCLA in History and Political Science and a Master's in Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
