Mr. Vahid Ownjazayeri, PE serves as the Chief Growth Officer of Design and Consulting Services Group at AECOM. Mr. Ownjazayeri served as Group Chief Executive of Global for Civil Infrastructure at AECOM Technology Corporation. Mr. Ownjazayeri served as the Chief Strategy Officer of Business Lines, Executive Vice President and Group Chief Executive of Global Transportation at AECOM Technology Corporation. Mr. Ownjazayeri is responsible for leading the efforts relative to AECOM's global growth strategies with particular emphasis on developing and emerging geographies, leading mega project pursuits and developing AECOM's relationship with global contractors. Prior to AECOM, he served as an Executive Vice President of Environmental & Infrastructure and President of Commercial, State and Local Division at The Shaw Group. He also served as Senior Vice President of the Environmental & Infrastructure and National Director of Transportation at Shaw Group Inc. since August 2009. He was responsible for the development, implementation and management of operations in the Northeast Central region, as well as growth and execution of Shaw's national transportation services. Prior to Shaw, he served as Senior Vice President and National Director of transportation and strategic development at AECOM. He also served in various leadership roles, including the Northeast Regional Manager and Vice President of marine/intermodal/freight for AECOM, Vice President of New England operations at H.W. Lochner Engineers & Planners and Director of contracts and administration at the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority. With more than 28 years of experience in the development, design and management of complex transportation projects, Mr. Ownjazayeri has been a global leader in project development, specifically in the United States, Middle East, Canada and the Caribbean. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts, U.S. His Professional Affiliations includes: Massachusetts Society of Professional Engineers. He served as the President of Metro Chapter,Professional Engineer of Massachusetts and also related to Construction Management Association of America. He served as the Chair Boston Engineers Week Committee. Mr. Ownjazayeri holds Master of Science in Structural Engineering from Northeastern University and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University.
