Asked to the Operations Department at Alcoa

  • If I would work rotating shifts and be willing to give it my all

  • Just general ones as they came up such as how many employees, what shifts they work, how departments are compartmentalized, etc.

  • Very generalized at first, then, I was actually put in front of a PC and some schematics and asked to demonstrate/explain answers.

Asked to all employees at Alcoa

  • They don't our HR department at our plant doesn't help at all they're more worried about getting people wrote up

  • HR issues were fairly poor a few years ago and have gotten exponentially worse. We have had new hires show up for orientation and no one expected them or met them, so they backed out. We've had other people sign hiring papers and be told they would start on a certain day and then be called back and told there was no opening. I'd run if that were me.
