Overall it's been great! It can definitely be a grind some days, while others are much more of a breeze. But the consistency of the culture and of my fantastic team are well worth the highs and lows of the job! And my manager strongly encourages us to keep a healthy work/life balance.

Overall it has been great so far in general, but I would be less inclined to recommend a contractor position to anyone I know. I cannot wait to convert to a blue badge so that I will be compensated more fairly and finally have benefits and security.

The sense of "we're all in this together" that keeps the atmosphere positive even when things are challenging.

My team and the sense of accomplishment that comes from figuring out solutions to the day-to-day problems/obstacles that come up

Each person's differences (and their differences in ideas) are celebrated! Nobody is pushed to fit into a "mold" - we're pushed to break the mold.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is hugely collaborative - very eager to help one another or offer advice when requested. It's definitely a supportive atmosphere that encourages questions and exploration.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
As a contractor, I have very little by way of compensation and benefits. The compensation is one thing, but the benefits are shocking - my "healthcare" option is essentially non-existent. It covers only "check ups".

Contracted employees definitely get the short end of the stick when it comes to pay and benefits. But I know this will improve greatly once converted to a full-time Amazon employee - the benefits/pay are much better then!
