Overall, I think Amazon is a great company and we are doing valuable and meaning work/projects here that impacts consumers all over the world. However, the interview process is not always fair and I don't feel that I'm valued or being compensated for what I deserve and how hard I work.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
My experience started out strong and exciting when I was hired reporting into Shivani. Most of my team is great and supportive. However, the last few months it has been a very uncomfortable and toxic environment due to my current manager who is constantly brings my morale down taking away motivation

They are open to new ideas and help implement them.

My teammates are very passionate about their work and they all work really hard and as a team.

Shivani and Daniel seem to care about their team and wants to provide us with flexibility and work/life balance.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
My teammates are great and supportive and my hiring managers are all very kind and easy people to work with.

I really like Amazon's Leadership Principals and what they stand for. I love what the flexibility we have now to work hybrid or remote.
What makes you most happy at work?
These days, not much as my manager has created a very uncomfortable work environment. However, I do enjoy helping the business leaders and the candidates every day to find the right match.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Majority of my teammates are passionate and goal oriented people. They are more helpful and supportive than my manager. They collaborate and support each other often since our manager doesn't provide much of that.
What makes you most happy at work?
I love helping bring in great smart talent to the company to help the company meet their goal and be successful. I enjoy closing offers and helping candidates find their dream job with Amazon.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I have been operating at L6 level prior to coming to Amazon and now within Amazon. I believe I was mis-leveled and hired with very low compensation compared to the amount of work I'm doing and the long hours I'm investing.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
My manager is not a good people manager. He plays favoritism. He doesn't help address any issues but instead ignores them causing more toxic environment and frustration. He constantly brings my morale down and makes me feel like I'm not good enough. Comp wise, I'm underpaid and overworked.
