I wish growth was explained more and we were given the chance to partner with teams we might want to be a part of. For example if I want to join home design what would that look like and who would I go to for this information.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
More partnership on problems that impact work. Less vague answers and assumptions. Less comparison to peers and more guidance to improving.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Amazon does great with helping you build a system for support. I love the relationships I have built and the knowledge I have gained from mentoring and being mentored.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Harsh feedback on hitting goals when no goals are presented. We work in an ambiguous environment but when the end of the year comes we are told you did have goals
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
At the level and role I am currently at other industry employees at top tech companies are getting paid at least double in salary and benefits. Why do we not look at cost of living and if we do why is on the low end?
What are some of the best things about your team?
Building a safe space that is comfortable to ask for help when you feel like you do not get support or relevant feedback from your manager. Being able to speak to seniors on the team regarding harsh conversation such as being an underperformer and not making the "manager" look bad.
