Ambry Genetics Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They communicate openly, honestly and regularly.

Review from Business Development Dept · Posted 5 days ago

They are very humble and lead by example

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 6 days ago

They have an open door policy so you feel comfortable going to any of them if you have questions/concerns/etc.

Review from Sales Dept

Communication, Empathy, Transparent, Accountability. Respect

Review from HR Dept

We've created a powerful culture here of inclusion and transparency. Employees feel safe to express concerns and ask questions. It took years to build up to this and I believe we are sustaining it.

Review from HR Dept

Clear messaging, quarterly all-hands meetings to ensure communication

Review from Engineering Dept

They care about the people who work here, as well as the people on the other side of the test being ordered.

Review from Operations Dept

The leadership team at Ambry is transparent, fair, and logical.

Review from Operations Dept

Tell the new information clear and on time

Review from Product Dept

Commitment to a quality diagnostic test and interpretation

Review from Operations Dept

Straightforward, honest, open, innovative, leadership

Review from Operations Dept

Supportive, flexible, and fun culture

Review from Operations Dept

They treat me like a human with skills and a life and they do not act like I am just a "replaceable employee," like previous employers have in my past.

Review from Operations Dept

Attentiveness and care for work-life balance

Review from Operations Dept

The relatively open communication from the leadership team is appreciated.

Review from Product Dept

Treat me as a person first while still working together to provide best patient care and using the best science.

Review from Operations Dept

The leadership team genuinely cares about each employee and is always looking for feedback to make systems, operations, and protocols better for everyone.

Review from Operations Dept

Not sure yet, new hire

Review from Operations Dept

Always willing to listen and try to find solutions

Review from Operations Dept

Communication is great! Keeping you in the loop about business updates, etc. is great!

Review from HR Dept

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Collect feedback on performance from appropriate colleagues. Support clear goals and career paths

Review from Engineering Dept

Listening to what the lab personnel suggests when it comes to making changes in the lab

Review from Operations Dept

Leadership seems disconnected with the needs of the workforce. There needs to be effort to understand the struggles of the day to day and better efforts to retain and to better enable their capabilities to do their work.

Review from IT Dept

Be better at keeping pay equal to work experience. e.g.. someone that's been a CLS 3 longer should not be making less than someone newly promoted to CLS 3

Review from Operations Dept

communication and letting the employees they hire for specific functions to do those functions and not just overrule

Review from Product Dept

Focusing more on employee needs, instead of burning us all out.

Review from Operations Dept

Management can improve their communication with rest of the team. Many times it feels like no one has any idea what is happening. It also seems the managers do not communicate with each other. Many times in our conversation it feels as if they are learning things from myself or the tema.

Review from Operations Dept

Listening to the needs of their employees (headcount, pay)

Review from IT Dept

Recognizing accomplishments of AE personnel in the field. There is very little positive reinforcement from leadership beyond a canned speech during NSM or MYM. As an AE I feel this company can take-or-leave me and does not value me as a person or employee.

Review from Sales Dept

Our leadership team is a work in progress.

Review from Operations Dept

Compensate all levels of staff.

Review from Operations Dept

The leadership team lacks organization and true leadership qualities.

Review from Operations Dept

Understanding the compensation market is changing and evolving. They need to be mindful in keeping Ambry's compensation competitive.

Review from Operations Dept

Competative pay. Leadership team to be leaders and not bosses. They wanted a lot of things done but do not provide a means to actually help staff. Some staff started not to care for work and unfortunatey, leadership team makes an excuse that that is not something they can control.

Review from Operations Dept

Better pay, being more open to remote work, helping out more on the team when it is needed instead of throwing more work on maxed out people, be more transparent

Review from Product Dept

Be more transparent about changes in the lab and communicate better. Favoritism is clear and environment is becoming toxic

Review from Operations Dept

They need to have better pay to keep good CLSs. There are a lot of CLA openings in the area and those companies pay easily 20% more. There isn't anything special at Ambry for people to stay at a lower pay

Review from Operations Dept

We need a better management team, with better leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate when managing our team.

Review from Finance Dept

We need to grow our FIM team in order to continue to be successful as a company. We need to focus on keeping the talent we do have through salary increases and bonuses. Many left because their pay was never raised after 2+ years. Responsibilities increased on the daily with no bump up in pay.

Review from Customer Success Dept

Listening to their employees' needs and making good on their promises instead of sweeping problems under the rug.
