Mr. Richard J. Mark, also known as Rick, BA (Ed), M.Ed (Admin), has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Ameren Illinois Company since June 13, 2012 and served as tis Senior Vice President of Customer Operations for Ameren Missouri until June 2012. Mr. Mark served as Senior Vice President of Ameren services and Union Electric Company at Ameren Energy Generating Company from January 2005 to June 13, 2012. and Illinois Power Generating Company since January 2005. He served as a Senior Vice President of Ameren UE Energy Delivery at Central Illinois Light Company since January 2005. He served as Senior Vice President of AmerenUE Energy Delivery at AmerenIP. Ameren Corporation since December 13, 2004, Central Illinois Light Company since January 2005 and at Ameren Illinois Company. He also served as Senior Vice President of Missouri Energy Deliver at Ameren Corporation. He served as Vice President of Ameren Services Company, a subsidiary of Ameren Corporation since January 2, 2002. He served as a Vice President of Governmental Policy and Consumer Affairs at Ameren Services, with responsibility for government affairs, economic development and community relations for Ameren's operating utility companies. He served as Senior Vice President at UE in January 2005, with responsibility for Missouri energy delivery. Before joining Ameren, he served for 11 years at Ancilla Systems Inc. In that time, he served as Vice President for governmental affairs, Chief Operating Officer and for the final six years, as Chief Executive Officer of St. Mary's Hospital in East St. Louis, Illinois from 1994 to 2002. He has been the Chairman of Ameren Illinois Company since June 2012. He has been a Director of Tenet Healthcare Corp. since November 09, 2017. He serves as Director of Madison Mutual Insurance Company. He served as Director of Enterprise Bank and Trust Company (Lowell, MA). He served as a Director of Union Electric Company from 2005 to 2012. He served as Director of Union Electric Company since 2005 until June 13, 2012. Mr. Mark began his own college career at Iowa State University where he earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree, with the intent of graduating and working with young people. He received a master of science in Business Management. Mr. Mark is Board Certified in healthcare management and is a Diplomat of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mr. Mark has received three Honorary Doctorate Degrees for his public service and leadership. He received an Honorary Doctorate of Public Service from St. Louis University, an Honorary Doctorate of Laws Degree from Quincy University and an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from National-Louis University.
