American Medical Response Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

HEALTH INSURANCE IS OUTSTANDING - WE'RE A MEDICAL COMPANY - OF COURSE IT IS

Medical benefits allow me to see my gastroenterology doctors and related specialty doctors.

I am appreciative of the compensation package. I myself do not use it due to cost. I am on my spouse's insurance. I do understand that such a large corp things are a bit more expensive.

The pay rate is decent, health insurance cost is expensive and rising every year

Review from Operations Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Pay us more and give us better Benefits

Our education (paramedic level) is comparable to registered nurses and yet paramedic starting pay is 50% less. The conditions in which we work are very static. We breath in exhaust, sit in an ambulance (small box) with sick people, and risk being injured in crashes and run the risk of more injuries.

I have worked for a company for over two decades, and only a few years ago was I brought up to a liveable wage. People in this line of work make as much as a fast food worker. Yet they show up to your emergency, come inside your home, and are given unquestioning trust. Pay better, appreciate us more

Annual raises and more time off

Being paid what the market is for providers.

I do feel undervauled and the pay is garbage

Billionaires running a company and paying pennies. Health insurance is a joke

pay emt's what they are worth. they get paid less than mcdonalds workers! make health benefits cost less. offer retirements

There is little to no effort to improve provider abilities, no effort made to respect field crews time consistently. Timekeeping maintenance only rewards AMR and does not protect employees in the same way.

Review from Operations Dept

Our station pays standby pay, so despite being in uniform and available to respond within minutes, we receive only $3 an hour.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Need competitive pay rate to hire and retain employees. In compensation for higher pay Company should offer paid health Insurance for employees.

Review from Operations Dept

We are below national average

Iowa is the only state where AMR employees work "on call". We are paid $3 an hour despite the fact that we have to be in uniform and stay local and able to respond within 10 minutes or less of a call.

Review from Customer Support Dept

10.15 an hour for literally bringing people back from the dead...
