Ms. Denise Pickett has been President of U.S. Consumer Services at American Express Company since October 2015. Ms. Pickett served as General Manager of OPEN Product Management & Acquisition and Executive Vice President of American Express Company since May 2010. She was responsible for managing all Product Portfolios and driving Acquisition for the US based OPEN franchise. She joined American Express in 1992. She served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Amex Canada Inc. and Amex Bank of Canada from April 2007 to May 2010. She served as the Heads Canada Executive Team of Amex and directly managed the Canadian Consumer Card and Small Business Services, leading its marketing, acquisition, product development and insurance areas. At American Express, Ms. Pickett served as Vice President of Marketing and Strategy for Global Commercial Card from 2006 to 2007. She served as the President of Amex Canada Inc. until May 2010 and its General Manager. She has a tremendous amount of experience in the Commercial Card business, as well as in the Consumer business where she held a series of senior positions in Loyalty & Retention Marketing, Acquisition, Brand Marketing, New Product Development, Strategic Planning and Small Business Services. She served as Chair of the Board of Directors of Amex Bank of Canada. She has been an Independent Director of Hudson's Bay Company since November 2012. She serves as Director at Hudson's Bay Company. She served as a Member of the Board of Amex Bank of Canada since April 2007. She is a member of the Dean's Advisory Council for York University's Schulich School of Business in Toronto, Ontario. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto. Ms. Pickett holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing from the Schulich School of Business at York University and also holds Honours BA in Human Biology and Physiology from the University of Toronto.
