Mr. Harshul Sanghi serves as Managing Partner at American Express Ventures at American Express Company. Mr. Sanghi joined American Express in 2011 to create a Silicon Valley presence and launch the company's venture initiative. Mr. Sanghi has been the Head of Enterprise Growth Group - Silicon Valley at American Express Company since September 9, 2011. Mr. Sanghi served as a Managing Director at Motorola Solutions Venture Capital. He was based in the Sunnyvale, California office of the firm. Mr. Sanghi's role included identifying, executing and managing strategic investments in startup companies that drive the realization of Motorola's vision of seamless mobility. He is an employee at Motorola Mobility Ventures. He joined to Motorola through its acquisition of Ucentric Systems, where he was responsible for worldwide sales and market development of the consumer electronics sector. Mr. Sanghi had extensive experience in the digital media, consumer electronics and semiconductor industries. Prior to Ucentric, he served as the General Manager of the satellite and terrestrial business team at Philips Electronic's North America Set-Top Box Division. At Philips, he developed markets for direct to home satellite television and broadband satellite modems and was responsible for directing product development, strategy, sales, marketing, as well as business and strategic alliance development. Mr. Sanghi's early career was spent in various technical and sales management positions in Silicon Valley, Singapore and Western Europe. He serves as a Director at Traina Interactive Corp. He served as Board Observer of Keynote DeviceAnywhere Inc. (a/k/a Mobile Complete, Inc.). Mr. Sanghi served as a Director at Mobile Complete, Inc. He has spoken on numerous industry panels. He being an entrepreneur himself, enjoys working with Silicon Valley's entrepreneurial community to drive the adoption of disruptive market technologies. Mr. Sanghi holds an M.B.A. degree from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Oregon. Mr. Sanghi also holds a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and Financial Management from the University of Bombay, India.
