Ms. Katrina R. Lane has been Executive Vice President, Consumer Marketing and Operations, of American Express Company in May 2015. Ms. Lane has responsibility for customer lifecycle marketing and building new capabilities. She served as Executive Vice President of Operations & Marketing Capabilities for The U.S. Consumer Cards at American Express Company since May 2013. Ms. Lane served as Executive Vice President of Consumer Products and Experiences at American Express Company from May 2012 May 2013. She create new offerings to enhance the Cardmember experience and oversee customer segmentation, retention and advocacy. She served as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President at Caesars Entertainment Corporation (also known as Harrah's Entertainment, Inc) and Caesars Entertainment Operating Company, Inc. (also known as Harrah's Operating Company Inc.) from January 2009 to 2012. Ms. Lane joined Caesars in 2004 and was responsible for a range of technology and marketing activities including oversight of the firm's IT application development, support, infrastructure, innovation, gaming, websites and security groups. Prior to Caesars, Ms. Lane served as Senior Vice President of Marketing for AfterHours Formalwear, a division of May Department Stores. Ms. Lane served as Vice President of Channel Marketing at Harrah's from March 2004 to January 2009. Ms. Lane has over 14 years of experience in technology enabled marketing including CRM, online and direct marketing, in a range of B-to-C businesses. She served as a Consultant at McKinsey & Company. She also worked in the retail, consumer banking and credit industries and in online marketing for 7 years at McKinsey & Company, where she was a co-leader in the Customer Relationship Marketing Practice. She serves as a member of the Board of Directors of American Express Bank, Federal Savings Bank, a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Express Company. She served as a Director of Scholastic Corporation from September 21, 2015 to October 30, 2015. Ms. Lane has a B.S. in Physics from Stanford University and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Experimental Physics from Cornell University.
