Mr. Fabara served as the President of Global Banking Group at American Express Company since February 2013 until July 17, 2016. Mr. Fabara served as an Executive Vice President of Global Credit Administration at American Express Company since January 11, 2011 and President of Global Network Business since September 2014 until October 2015. He was responsible for worldwide credit, collections and fraud operations. He has deep credit and operations experience, honing his management skills at firms including Alliance Data Systems and Providian. He is an exceptional people leader with excellent collaboration skills. He joined American Express from Barclays Bank Plc in London, where he lastly served as Managing Director and Global Head of Operations, Regulatory, Implementation and Planning. In this role, he oversaw all large regulatory programs across the bank to improve speed of delivery, quality and cost. He served as the Global Chief Operating Officer of Barclaycard since August 29, 2006, managing all aspects of card operations and technology, including fraud and collections. He served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Credit Services at Alliance Data Systems and also served as its Chief Operating Officer since 2002 and also held roles of increasing responsibility in credit and collections at Providian Financial Corporation/Providian Bancorp., where he served as Vice President of International and Domestic Collections.
