Paul H. Hough — Senior Vice President of Service Network Partners, Consumer, Small Business and Merchant Services at American Express

Mr. Paul H. Hough is Executive Vice President and Deputy Chief Financial Officer for American Express. Mr. Hough has thirty year career at American Express and has included finance and general management experience in the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Hough has stewardship for financial management, risk finance, financial strategy and long range planning for the business and servicing groups. He has been Senior Vice President of Service Network Partners, Consumer, Small Business and Merchant Services at American Express Company since June 2006 and serves as its Senior Vice President. Mr. Hough served as the Chief Financial Officer of American Express Credit Corporation. He served as Corporate Treasurer of American Express Company from November 17, 2003 to July 17, 2006. Mr. Hough joined American Express in 1984 as a Senior Analyst in Finance. As treasurer, Mr. Hough was responsible for American Express Company's global treasury operations, including short- and long-term funding, asset securitization, market risk management, cash management and capital structure. Prior to joining American Express, Mr. Hough worked in the audit department of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Company. In subsequent years, he held numerous finance and Non-Finance positions. He served as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Head of business development for Global Network and Establishment Services and Travelers Cheques and Prepaid Services groups. He has been a Director at Bottomline Technologies (de), Inc. since April 18, 2017. Mr. Hough serves as a Director of American Express Credit Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity College and an MBA from New York University.
