They are really smart yet personable people. We have a multicultural workforce, but everyone seems to be on the same page.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Organizing a company structure with clear jobs/titles/and roles. Empowering people with decision making power to execute their jobs based on their clearly defined roles and responsibilities. All of these things should align clearly with company goals with a strong leader to keep everyone aligned.

Communication, and thinking long term. While I understand things will change often due to the nature of the business and it being a start-up, but it seems like we are working one way, then switch to a different way every other month. A clear plan needs to be made and stuck to.

Nice base! The benefits are quite good with ~90% of the cost paid by the company.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
It is a little low for the position. I am well under the market average for my position.

My role, and others like me, complete the majority of the work and hold the most knowledge of our product/company, yet we are compensated way less from a base & bonus/commission structure than other roles who's names may be on accounts yet do little to no work other than push paper and chase people.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Despite COVID, we are still well connected via Google Meet. We also have occasional chances to work collaboratively at a We Work location.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
(#) Company events more often.(#2) We should also do company trips or incentives if we hit certain numbers/quotas - this gives people goals and motivation. (#1) We should also try summer hours on Fridays (i.e. Get off early).

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
There needs to be a true organizational structure with actual C-level organization and management.

There just isn't much focus on positives... We're constantly putting out fires and talking about the things that went wrong or need to be improved. And when it feels like it takes forever to make proactive steps forward, it leaves less to be excited about.

More structure and understanding would be helpful. It gets a little worrisome when you don't feel confident in what is going on with the company and how your role fits and where you are goihng.
