Committment to the job, leading by example and keeping the personal values insight where possible
Review from Customer Success Dept
The transparency they bring to where the company is heading, fireside chats and AMA sessions give clear visibility into strategy and direction
Review from Engineering Dept
I have met 2 of the Founders and they appear very engaged.
Review from Sales Dept
They are personable and seem like they genuinely care.
Review from Operations Dept
I like how open and honest they are and seem to take feedback seriously. They are also involved in the day to day.
Review from Finance Dept
Transparency, approachability, and clear messaging on strategy and execution plan
Review from Sales Dept
They are approachable and caring
Review from Legal Dept
Founder accessibility is important for us and customers
Review from Sales Dept
They allow me to contribute, my opinion is listened.
Review from Engineering Dept
My leadership team are very open, honest and transparent and whilst I'm sure there are things that they can't always disclose they all keep us informed with as much info as they can.
Review from HR Dept
They promote autonomy and ownership. The role allows you to run your accounts like its your own business.
Review from Customer Success Dept
Communication and availability is much appreciated
Review from Sales Dept
I like the thoughtful positioning for product, especailly AI
Review from Sales Dept
They are engaged, dedicated, honest
Review from Sales Dept
Commitment to advancing our company (with focus on our people) and our customers.
Review from Customer Success Dept
The leadership team is good at being as transparent as possible into why they make their decisions.
Review from HR Dept
I love the unyielding focus on the future
Review from HR Dept
They generally seem to have a good head on their shoulders and a decent grasp of the markets tenuous position with AI.
Review from Customer Success Dept
Their vision is clear and inspiring.
Review from Sales Dept
Growing the company and having a dynamic, fast-paced culture. It's too clinical now.
Review from Sales Dept
There needs to be a more focussed and clear sales strategy. It feels as if the company is constantly changing strategies and feels like they are just throwing darts at a dart board.
Review from Sales Dept
Change management led from the top. We need to move faster, be successful even through a hiring shift to Chennai, and use AI to get much better at our jobs - all valid needs. They could be exciting change management projects but instead are currently mandated from the top with little support.
Review from Product Dept
Caring about their employees, committing to and communicating their strategy long-term, sharing Appian's financial successes with the employees
Review from Engineering Dept
Changing their actions based on employee feedback. They love to "listen" to feedback, but I have never seen the executive team change course based on that feedback.
Review from Engineering Dept
Get better at communication b/w different teams, more transparency on decisions being made at the highest level.
Review from Marketing Dept
Really care to the people and company culture
Review from Sales Dept
Invest in sales and marketing -- products don't sell themselves.
Review from Sales Dept
Leadership needs to evaluate headcount as it pertains to their desire to launch new initiatives. My team is already far above capacity managing day-to-day needs due to attrition and poorly thought out layoffs. We don't have capacity to run the business and have a new fire drill every day.
Review from Marketing Dept
Market strategy. If AI is an area we are going all-in on, then staffing and initiatives should reflect this. Retention and Employees. Forcing return to office without measured data to justify why shows a big disconnect between executives and employees.
Review from Engineering Dept
Not being evasive about the RTO policy.
Review from Engineering Dept
Listening to the employees feedback and implementing it, specifically about RTO mandate Being more transparent about decisions, specifically RTO mandate and de facto US hiring freeze
Review from Engineering Dept
The leadership should stop copying what other companies are doing and chart their own course. Leadership should also respect employee choices like wishing for remote work and stop bullying employees into coming to work by threatening them. Leadership should stop lying and giving deceitful messaging.
Review from Engineering Dept
Lost respect for the CEO and management when the CEO announced to the whole company on a call that during COVID Appian wouldn't be downsizing the workforce as the company had a very strong financial position to weather the storm, but after 2 days made a number of staff redundant in Australia.
