How's the vacation policy at Applied Systems?
Standard policy is 2 weeks vacation until you've been there at least 5 years, at which point it goes up to 3 weeks. That's in addition to a personal day, birthday holiday, standard holidays, and generous amount of paid sick days. PTO is available immediately when you start (prorated for the time left in the year you start). Also, you can easily negotiate an extra week of vacation in the hiring process so that you start out with 3 weeks of vacation. You are allowed to roll over up to 40 hours of vacation time each year.
Traditionally, you start with 2 weeks of vacation, and gain vacation time based on tenure.
Does Applied Systems have any remote positions?
Yes. Many positions can be remote depending on experience, the department, and the team you'll be working with. They prefer onsite though so if you live near an Applied office you will be expected to commute into the office rather than working from home. Most departments/positions do offer 1-3 WFH days (depending on the dept/team) though if you work in the office, and they are generally flexible with work/life balance in that respect if you need extra WFH time for some reason.
Applied Systems has a number of remote Sales and Training positions. Applied also have a number of offices throughout the US and Canada. Depending on the position and experience level, Applied does make offers for remotes on a case-by-case basis. Finally, depending on your position and seniority, you can transition from in-house to remote.
