    Very good. Better than most places I have worked.

  • Pretty good. Some stressful times and some late nights but more often than not, in at 8 and out at 5.

    Non existent. You are expected to be in the office no matter how far you live or whether your role interfaces with other people in the office. Face time expectations are high.

    The CEO is pretty new, less than a year, and it's been a rough year so it's hard to say. I think she's really trying hard to do the right thing for employees even when it's tough or it's not her choice. I think she could do better at making sure she keeps commitments and does what she says, when she says it will happen.

  • We do not work directly with the CEO. We do not communicate with her aside from occasional presentations.

  • People seem to like our CEO.

    It's excellent! 18 days PTO plus a floating holiday and 11 paid holidays to start.

  • Starting out, you get 18 days of PTO per year, plus 10 paid holidays, plus 1 floating holiday to use as you want. The PTO increases after a few years of service too.

  • we actually just switched to flex pto with no mandatory minimum so management will use it as a tool against employees.

  • Remain calm, don’t get frustrated- in many cases it will take time (months to a year) for you to understand your job completely...just take a deep breath, take good notes and ask a lot of questions.

  • They do not promote to senior level, and seniors have very little to no opportunity to advance. They are of the mindset of hire no experience lower levels and high experience seniors and then restricting advancement opportunities.

  • I appreciate that managers let us build in time to learn new things, but I wish more senior engineers were more willing to help and mentor newer engineers.

  • It is awful. They treat development like the unloved stepchild of the company. they tell us all the time about how sales and marketing are bringing money in and how great they are, but development gets the feeling that we are a burden.

  • That is true, however they also just closed an entire office letting all of that knowledge and experience go. nearly everyone at denver is 2 years or less experience... and it shows!

  • The best part was the friendliness of coworkers but most have been there forever. They are either truly content or truly complacent

  • The Denver office basically goes around in a circle. Offices are for executives but with glass walls, they're not inaccessible by any means. Managers work with the employees on their level which is pretty cool. Each office cluster has their own name and Vertafore is expanding in their building by adding 2 more floors for office space. So far, no one is "curled up in a corner". It's all pretty open.

  • Open floor plan nobody really had an office but you could tell those who would gave rather had an office because they would be curled up in a corner or by a window

  • There are many customer service departments- sometimes more than one per location. I really enjoy my department, it’s a very diverse group of fun folks. I work 8-5.

    It's low. They moved the company to Denver so that they can pay less for engineers. They're sending candidates through bootcamps because they don't have to pay as much for someone who's been through a bootcamp as they would for someone who is college educated. If you choose to work at Vertafore, don't do it for the pay.

  • we are 2/3 under market value. and the culture doesnt make up for it.
