What's the internship program like at AristaMD?
We like bringing on interns for project support and education. I am working with an intern now and exposing her to many sides of our business.

Very busy, fairly low-key, but focused on results.

The interview at AristaMD was more casual, and covered more general IT expertise as opposed to specific technical skills.
Who did you meet with during your interview? And how long did it take to hear back from AristaMD?
I met with the IT department and CTO during my interview. It took 3 days for them to get back to me.
What IT department questions did AristaMD ask during your job interview?
They asked about my past experiences in IT and my ability to pick up new technologies.
How helpful was your IT team when you were first hired at AristaMD?
The IT team was super helpful when I arrived, and have been very helpful ever since.
What does the ideal candidate in the IT department look like at AristaMD?
Flexible to change and able to pick up new technologies. We cover a number of different technologies, are fast paced, and work in a 'bullpen' environment, so we look for personalities that are comfortable in that environment.
What does the ideal candidate in the Engineering department look like at AristaMD?
Self motivated, team player, good experience using Laravel framework and Postgres database. Also must demonstrate problem solving abilities and use easy approaches.
What kind of interview questions do they ask when hiring someone in the Engineering department at AristaMD?
Questions related to object oriented programming such as design patterns and SOLID principals I also ask question related to the retrieval of large data and how to improve database performance.

3 basic concepts. 1) Do you have IT experience from a shop that even vaguely resembles AristaMD. 2) Are you ready, willing, able to pick up the technologies used by AristaMD. 3) Team fit. Given a description of the AristaMD culture and environment, does that sound like something you can adapt to.
