Evaluate individuals on their contributions and not lean so heavy on tenure. Doing the work should equate to proper compensation.
They load individual contributors with way more work than they can handle, then do not promote, or compensate in any way, when you take on additional work or responsibilities.

Based on Industry standards in the region I am employed in we are under paid by 15 to 20% of the industry standard
OUr position is at the same wage levels there were in 2009. Some people have been here 5 years with no wage increase. And when you do get one, it is significantly below the increase in our portion of health insurance so you are always going backwards on real take home wages.
