They need to be qualified first off and stop stroking their egos. They sit in meetings all day with no idea if the workload the people under them are doing.
Merit means nothing in this company. It's all about personal political relationships. Middle management are appointed to positions which they are unqualified for. It has gotten to the point that Regulatory Commission Staff are issuing large disallowances for this reason.
