Our team is great at helping each other learn and figure out difficulties. There are no two days the same and this job can be very challenging so having a good support system to help you through the rough days is essential.

Great knowledge and teamwork however our efforts are crushed by a manager who doesn't know what they are doing.
For the most part, individual contributors and front-line managers are smart, capable, and easy to get along with.

My immediate team really cares about the mission they are serving and there isn't an ego with our work. So if someone wants to join in, everyone is always happy for more help and makes everyone feel welcomed.

You have too many daily meetings. You can average 5-10 meetings daily and talk about nothing at all.

Guidance!! The lack of expertise on the part of management leads to disorganization and chaotic approaches to what should be straightforward and simple programs and tasks. Most mean very well and do their best, but wothout effective leadership the workforce can be very ineffective.
They can work toghether a little better and not be rude.

Learn how to actually code and program rather than looking up code snippets on stackoverflow. Learn how to actually engage and discuss current best practices with respect to coding and development and not about the next corporate turkey dinner or intranet metrics ( which are meaningless to track )

I work within a customer environment. BAE coworkers are professional and dedicated, customer workers are lazy and don't make an effort to do the bare minimum. We are 40% of the workforce and do 95% of the work (stats to prove it)

If they paid better they could keep good workers. If you've worked there for 20 years your compensated good. But many good workers leave due to low wages.

Improvements are needed from team leader and above. They want a push and not the right way, even though they say to do it the right way. If you do they throw it on your face because you take too long and your productivity is lower than others.
