I have started working at this clinic the beginning of this month and honestly it was daunting at first. I had to learn a lot of things and felt like a bother for asking multiple questions. Now that I am getting the hang of things I am starting to get my owner rhythm which I feel more confident.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I believe my compensation is fine at the moment. Once I decide to move into a CVT position I would expect more money just to help pay for my schooling costs.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone is willing to teach if someone needs help and questions are not frowned upon. You can feel safe not knowing things and the beauty of it is that you will learn from your coworkers.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I like the fact that my leadership team is willing to help and make sure that I am fitting into my new work situation. They really do care about who we are and are wanting to help when they can.
What makes you most happy at work?
I absolutely love my job. I get to work with animals all day. The majority of the staff here is always in a good mood and that brings my attitude up even more. Clients also help with lifting the attitude.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is very inclusive and willing to help. Everyone has their own personalities and for the most part I feel included. Being new in the clinic I was very intimidated by everything, but I am slowly getting the hang of it all.
