Been here for almost 4 years and only starting to be taught new things. Struggle watching the same patterns repeat constantly. Dealing with increasingly frustrated customers and nobody at corporate seems to understand that. Frequently we will run a skeleton crew and that's part of the mass quitting
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
When there are puppies everyone gets excited
What are some of the best things about your team?
We are all willing to talk to each other and speak out issues. We are also very diverse in many areas: gender and sexuality, race, religion. etc...
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Again: pets and associates are nothing more than numbers. Suggestions frequently go ignored. There is no real flow. Petware is horrible and user unfriendly to the point of being user hostile.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Stop acting like it's only a numbers game. We are asked to constantly drive pets through as many as possible, lowering quality of care. Whenever we have to take longer for one pet, hours start getting cut, often to an illegal level (full time should not by law be below 30 hours per contract!)
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
First: free wellness plans only for dogs and cats, and those without get nothing in recompense, Second, stop using us as only numbers! Also why did the HSA go away in favor of "better health plan" when it's not really better is it? Also, why is training not just available for always, like refreshers
