Mr. Argir joined Barnes & Noble, Inc. from Toys 'R' Us, Inc., where he served as Chief Digital Officer since 2012, overseeing digital businesses in 13 countries. Mr. Argir served as the Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Petters Group Worldwide, LLC. He served as the Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President at The Sports Authority, Inc. since April 2011. He also served as a consultant to Best Buy, Inc., where he collaborated on productivity and strategic technology investments. He has extensive background in retail experience and wealth of industry knowledge. He served as the Vice President, Supply Chain at Target Corporation. During his tenure at Target, Mr. Argir specialized in Supply Chain development and was responsible for application development of Distribution, Transportation, Merchandise Management and Planning, Merchandise Presentation, Product Design and Development and Business Intelligence. Prior to Target, he served as Senior vice president and Chief Information Officer at Fingerhut Corporation. Prior to joining Petters Group, he founded Argir.com Technology Solutions and served as its president and Chief Executive Officer from 1994 to 2001. He developed Argir.com into a multi-million dollar business. Mr. Argir also served as the Webmaster for Norwest Bank and the Webmaster and LAN Administrator for Northstar Guarantee, Inc. He served on the Board of the Global Commerce Initiative.
